Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL These dogs found a new home through our dog rescue in Orlando FL Home Adoptable Dogs Apply to Adopt/Foster In Recovery Save a Dog Furevers How to Help I'm Home Kimber Needs Our Help Kimber has a broken leg. Her humerus was broken after she was run over by a trailer. This was a very sad accident. We splinted her leg and she is having surgery today. We will repair her leg with a plate and screws. Our success rate with this type of surgery is very high. Kimber will be running like a normal dog, with no restrictions, in 8 weeks. Puppies heal fast! Please help us put Kimber back together again by making a donation below. Thank you. We stabilized Kimber's leg with a splint and wrapped it in a pretty red gauze bandage. Watch her video below. Her surgery to repair her leg is today. Moroccan Marbleback Skipjack Originally descended from the Marrekesh Skipjacks found east of the Melwiyya River, Klondike's ancestor's were bred to catch the trout that fed the surrounding villages. The Skipjacks have long noses and short stature which made them ideal for grabbing the trout in the river shallows. Their black faces made them invisible to the fish while their white bodies were easy to spot by their masters. The Skipjack overbite prevented them from destroying the trout so the fish could be traded at local markets. Be the only one in your neighborhood to have this rare find! Apply to adopt Klondike on the PPR website before he's gone! Good News & Even Better News! Good news! After battling an illness that almost took his life, Taters recovered, thanks to our expert veterinarians! Now for even better news--Taters is Home! Brittany, a prior adopter and PPR foster mom, scooped him up! Brittany adopted Paige from PPR a year ago and it was time for Paige to have a brother to play with. Taters might have had a rough start in life, but it’s all fun and games from now on! Your special needs donations saved Tater's life. You can bet he promises to make the most of the next 15 years! The Orlando Jeep Club Rocks! Thank you to The Orlando Jeep Club for donating the proceeds of The Jeep Show and Shine to Poodle and Pooch Rescue! Kind people in their cool Jeeps had a great time while saving dogs. PPR appreciates TOJC! Don't Worry. Meet Tilly! Tilly is our Big Beautiful Brussels Griffon Mix. Yep, she's a real mutt because it had to take a dozen breeds to create these extraordinarily expressive eyes and this funny fluffy face. Tilly has a condition called indolent lymphoma, which is very manageable. But it will take longer for her to find a home. Does she look worried? Nope! She's not worried one bit because she knows that when her forever family finally finds her, it will be a perfect match! If you would like to adopt Tilly or another Poodle and Pooch Pal, click here: Adoption Application. Thank you! Cha, Cha, Chi! One Chi Two Chis Three Chis, Four Five Chis, Six Chis......More More More!! Choose a Chi or two or MORE! These pocket sized pups pack a huge punch of love and will fill your home with giggles and fun. Apply to adopt today by clicking here Adoption Application. Elvin Deserves a Chance The Wags & Wishes Fundraising Campaign allows us to take chances on dogs like Elvin. Elvin is not in pain, but he was born with congenital defects. Elvin’s front legs and back are normal. His brain and his senses are normal too. His back legs and hips are not. Elvin’s hips are not in the “socket”. Normally, the head of the femur fits into the acetabulum. But on his left side, there is no femur head and on the right side the femur head is outside the acetabulum. Additionally, Elvin has no knee on the left side at all. Elvin is a playful pup that gets where he wants to go with his very odd gait. We don't know what this condition will mean as he grows. Perhaps he will always be able to get around and when he's an adult we can repair his right hip. Or maybe he will need a cart. We will do whatever he needs to live a long happy life. We are taking it one day at a time for now. Please help Poodle and Pooch Rescue save more dogs like Elvin by donating below. They just need a chance. Watch the video of Elvin with his foster brother. Furever Foster Archy is HOME! Archy is HOME!! We're honored to introduce the newest member of our Furever Foster Gang, itty bitty Archy! This peppy little pom is an older gentleman whose life must have been pretty awful based on his condition upon arrival in our care. He was just another old dog dumped at animal control with no hope for adoption. One look at that face and we had to give Archy a chance to feel loved. Fast forward 2 months and look at Archy now! He's smiling and Living LARGE with Jess and Mandy and their happy go lucky son, Sawyer! This is a family who said, YES, Archy can stay with us till his last day, whenever that is. From now on, Archy's days are all about sunshine, belly rubs and ice cream! Yes, we said ice cream! Jess and Mandy are spoiling Archy with decadent treats and more soft bedding that his tired body has ever experienced. Archy's days might be numbered but every single one of those days will be AMAZING! We are so grateful to families like Jess and Mandy who offer to love an older, special needs dog for as long as the dog has to live. Rather than seeing it as "too sad" or " too depressing", these families see the sparkle in the eyes of a dog who finally feels the love of a human. It's not about loss but about making the time left the best of their lives! PPR takes in many special needs and senior dogs. With the help of our sponsors and donors, PPR provides the medical care for the dog if you can supply the love. Spread a little love and become a Furever Foster family. Apply on our website at http://poodleandpoochrescue.org/apply_to_adopt_foster. Spring the Dogs! Welcome to the first day of Spring, the day every dog waits for all year long! It's the day the flowers smell delicious, the lizards scamper for cover, and the breezes feel cool on a bright sunny day. PPR foster pup Lil is so happy to be enjoying her first Spring. She's never been lucky enough to relax and smell the roses or roll in the cool grass. That's all changed now thanks to the wonderful donors who make it possible for PPR to save dogs like Lil. In honor of Spring, we're declaring today "Spring the Dogs" day! Let's work together and spring more dogs from animal control and other despicable conditions. Donate to our Wags and Wishes Campaign and our sponsor, Brown and Brown Insurance, will match your donation dollar for dollar. Woo Hoo! Let's Spring into action and Let the Dogs Out! Drum Roll Please.... Introducing......Puppies in Paradise!! This sneak peak is brought to you by Poodle and Pooch Rescue, proudly fostering and caring for 6 peppy puppies who are ready to make their big debut to their adoring public. We are grateful that we could save their mommy, Daisy Mae, who was dumped at animal control. Luckily we got her healthy and tucked into a co...
